Vehicle length

The length of the car is the maximum longitudinal dimension of the car.

Vehicle overall length is one of the standardized vehicle data, among the so-called basic vehicle dimensions, which are defined by the international standard ISO 612 from 1978.

The overall length of a car is the distance of two vertical planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the car, the two planes touching the front and rear of the vehicle. The overall length of the vehicle includes all parts attached to the vehicle such as the registration plate including the frame, the towing device, etc.
